INTERREG NEXT ROMANIA – UKRAINE INFO DAY: 2nd call of proposals for regular projects

The Joint Secretariat of INTERREG NEXT ROMANIA – UKRAINE PROGRAMME, hosted by Regional Office for Cross – Border Cooperation Suceava and the Managing Authority within the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration will organise an online information session on the 13th of May 2024.

Second Open call - Regular projects

The Managing Authority for Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme launches the second call for proposals for regular projects. The budget allocated to the call amounts 4.47 million Euro and the deadline for submission of application is July 16, 2024.

120 projects submitted within the first calls for proposals for Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine

The first calls for project proposals launched within the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme closed on January 31, 2024. 120 projects were submitted, targeting the fields of education, health, as well as investment in climate change prevention, biodiversity and border management. The non-refundable value of the submitted projects is 87 million Euro.

Launched in August 2023, the call for proposals for regular projects (projects that include an investment component of at least 500,000 euro) has an allocation of 12.6 million Euro and will finance investments in health and education. Within this call, 49 projects were submitted, with a non-refundable value of 60 million Euro.

The call for proposals for small scale projects was launched in September 2023, with a budget of 14.5 million Euro to finance activities designed to prevent and fight climate change, protect biodiversity, health, education and border management. All 71 submitted projects total 27 million Euro, non-refundable funds.

The projects were submitted by public authorities active in the fields stated above, NGOs or professional associations. Each project must have at least one partner from each participating state, with the participation of a maximum of 4 partners per project being allowed.

In the following period, the projects will be subject to the evaluation and selection procedure, and those that best meet the requirements of the Applicant's Guidelines and that consistently contribute to the development of the communities in the border area, will be contracted.

European Commission approves the amended Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme

The European Commision approved, in December 2023, the amended Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme.

Public consultation: Guidelines for Applicants - Priority 1.1, Regular projects

The Managing Authority for Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme is organising public consultations on the Guidelines for Applicants for regular projects to be financed under Priority 1.1, Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention and resilience, taking into account eco-system based approaches.

Application deadline extended for small and regular projects

The Managing Authority of Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme published Corrigendum no.2 to the Guidelines for applicants for regular and small scale projects.

Training sessions for potential applicants of Interreg NEXT Romania - Ukraine

From 17 of October 2023 to 13 of November 2023, the Joint Secretariat, hosted by the Regional Office for Cross-Border Cooperation Suceava, together with the Managing Authority within the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration will organize training sessions in the entire eligible area of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme.

The Managing Authority for Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme launches the call for proposals for small scale projects. The budget allocated to the call amounts 14.58 million Euro and the deadline for submission of application is January 8th 2024.

Interreg NEXT Programme is amended

Considering the supplementary financial allocation granted to Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme by the European Commission, the Managing Authority starts a public consultation on the amended contents of the programming documents.
